When and where is it?

Saturday, April 17, 2027, at the Coweta County Justice Center, 72 Greenville Street, Newnan. The first riders roll out at 8:00 a.m. and the event runs until 3:00 p.m.

Every route starts and finishes in the same place.

How does the start work?

We pace the start by the average speed you gave us when you registered — not by how far you are riding. Five groups, from 25 mph and up down to 10 mph and under. The fastest roll out at 8:00 a.m. and each group follows about a minute behind the one ahead, so everyone is on route by 8:10.

It means you start alongside people riding your pace, which is safer in the first mile and better company for the next fifty.

How far can I ride?

Four routes: 27, 46.7, 62.1 and 98 miles. The distance picker on the home page shows each one drawn from its GPS file, with the climbing, the SAG stops and the elevation profile, and links the route so you can load it on your computer or phone before you come.

What does it cost?

The price is the same on all four routes, and it steps up as the ride gets closer:

• $75 through December 31, 2026
• $90 from January 1, 2027
• $100 from March 18, 2027

Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2027.

When do I pick up my packet?

Friday, April 16, 2027, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at either of two places:

• Line Creek Reserve, 18 Savannah Street, Newnan
• Senoia Bicycle Shop, 34 Main Street, Senoia

You can also pick up on Saturday morning from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Justice Center, but Friday means you can park, start and go without standing in a line.

Packet pickup times and places are subject to change. We will post any change here and email every registered rider.

Where do I park?

At the Justice Center, and it is free. There is plenty of it.

How old do I have to be?

Riders must be 16 or older on the day of the ride. You can register other adults along with yourself.

What do I get?

An event shirt — sizes S through XXL, and they run small, so size up if you are between — and a swag bag with a food coupon good at the food trucks after the ride.

Out on the route: four SAG stops on the 98, three on the 47 and the 62, one on the 27, each with water, Gatorade, pickle juice and something to eat, plus restrooms. Rotarians, Interact students and our sponsors staff them, and a support truck sweeps behind the last rider for breakdowns and anything else.

This is a ride, not a race. There are no timing chips, no awards and no medals — just the distance you came for and somewhere good to sit down afterward.

Is there anything afterward?

Yes. Finish, then walk about two blocks north to Line Creek Reserve, 18 Savannah Street — the same place you picked your packet up on Friday. Food trucks will be there and they take the coupon from your swag bag. A photographer works the finish, and the photos go online afterward.

What are the rules of the road?

The roads are open to traffic and Georgia's road safety laws apply for the whole route. Ride with traffic, obey every light and sign, and signal your turns. Officers help at the busiest intersections, but you are riding on public roads all day.

Can I ride an e-bike?

No. The Tour of Coweta is a traditional bicycle ride, and e-bikes are not permitted on any of the four routes.

What if it rains?

The ride goes on, rain or shine. Dress for the forecast and come anyway — some of the best days we have had out there started wet.

Can I sign up on the day?

Yes. Walk-up registration is open on Saturday morning at the start for $100, the same as the late online price. Registering ahead of time is still the better deal — and it tells us how much food to buy.

Can I change my route after I register?

Yes. You can switch to a different distance free of charge until March 5, 2027, and you can edit your own registration — shirt size, contact details — until April 15, 2027.

What if I have to cancel?

Registrations are fully refundable up to 30 days before the ride — that is March 18, 2027. Email the club and we will take care of it.

Is there a limit on riders?

The ride is capped at 600. It has not sold out in recent years, but the early price is the cheapest it will ever be.

Where does my money go?

To Coweta County. The ride funds the club's community grants, the Rotary Cup scholarships at all six county high schools, and the free July 4th fireworks. Here is the full accounting.

I’m coming from out of town. Is it worth staying?

Most riders are from out of town — about seven in ten. Newnan’s courthouse square is a three-minute walk from the start, Senoia is twenty minutes away, and the hotels are all a short drive out by the Interstate. Here is how to spend the weekend.
